Just Another Ordinary Day

This is a post that is NOT DEEP. I'm drinking my 4th drink if that tells you anything... I'm just gonna blog about my day.
So this morning I decided that I don't like other people's kids (while working in the nursery at church.) I feel mean saying that but it's true. There are FEW children that I do like. I like my own...my niece...my closest friend's kids like the Lukey Goodness...but...kids are bratty, dirty and demanding in ways I'm not used to. I'm used to my own bratty, dirty, demanding kids.
Anyway that was the thought I had this morning...then I came home to a clean house.
While I was at the church my hubby did all my "chores" and cleaned up. Love him! But because I had a flamin' headache and haven't slept in 2 nights I was kinda bitchy to him anyway. He went to start lunch and when he told me he was making something I didn't really want, I smarted off. I told him I'd remember that the next time I made lunch (which would be tomorrow) and just make something EASY but not necessarily GOOD. (He was putting in frozen pizza.)
Then I went in my room and layed on my bed, all crabby, and had a come-to-Jesus talk. I knew I was wrong and mean. So I went out to the smoking lounge with my tail between my legs and apologized. (He forgave me.)
Then my hubby went to the junk yard to get a part to fix my pimp-ass ride...my 94 Caddy! He was able to save us like $900 by fixing it himself. Again, Love him! Later I had to hold a ginormous umbrella over him and all his tools because there was a hurricane in Indiana.
I did get to take a nap and sleep a little bit before the down pour, but not enough. I woke up to find my 14 y.o. in her room which I was surprised to see because she was supposed to be with her uncle and Granny all day. Apparently, Granny drives her crazy and it was sort of a blessing to come home early. She was all crazy-frustrated with an essay she has to write for Science about prisms. BORING! She was really whining about it and I feel bad for her because there are SO MANY MORE TO COME in her academic journey. I HATED essays and papers and reports SO MUCH. Part of that hate keeps me from going back to college.
Then Notre Dame was on and I try to be interested but I'm not. People around here go CRAZY for it and I just don't get it. I don't know anyone on the team so WHY would I care if they win or not?! Some people are in love with the Domers because they are in the same city???maybe?? Not the greatest reason. Honestly, the reason I even tune in is to maybe get a glimpse of my brother-in-law who is a cop and works security at all the home games. At the last game he met and shook hands with Vince Vaughn HOTTIE! Such a waste of an introduction because my bro-n-law doesn't really care about him and wouldn't sleep with him if he could so, what a WASTE! They did win, however if you give a rat's.
Then my dad stopped over to bring my hubby some saw he needed to continue working on the Caddy. Dad also brought tomatoes and bananas and a crappy attitude. He was all bitchy because he was all stressed out from being alone with his two grandkids. (My sister and niece were here too.) He snapped at me then told my sister that I had the tude. Whatever. He did go get the pizza we ordered though.
Then I just kind of did nothing after all that...I ate pizza, laughed my gut off (not really off cuz I still have to hold my breath to tie my shoes) at my niece, watched my son play tv games, tried to read my "not-so-great" book, listened to the kids play hide-and-seek (which ended when my son started crying his eyes out because he thought his sister left!) Now my hubby is laying in bed pretending he isn't really going to bed; although, he will be snoring in no time and he's on TOP of the sheets. I hate that.

Battle of the Will

So I got to spend another day fighting tooth and nail for the power with my 4 year old, Will. It's like he just thinks he can do whatever, whenever he wants. I'll just call his name, and I know he can hear me, and he just doesn't answer me. I seriously have to get loud for him to acknowledge me. And then he says things back to me like "it's not nice to yell mawmaw" or "I'm not your friend anymore." What the hell do I say to that?! Usually I say something sarcastic like "big shocker" but how is that helpful?? Its not and I know it but its hard trying to teach him a lesson while I'm exhausted and brain dead. Especially after going at it with him day in and day out, and my husband hasn't been home a lot with his new job...so its just me. Even when I ask him who the boss is...he says me but then that doesn't mean anything to him, apparently. And he is obsessed with Playstation right now. He can literally play it for hours and ...

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This Christmas season started for me in like September. That was the first time I saw a store putting up their ornaments to sell and I thought "Geeesch, it's not even October!" But I did find Em's ornament that day, at that store and it's perfect. Anywho, when the "real" Christmas season rolled around I was bombarded by texts from women talking about "christmas decorations is gonna cause us to get divorced" and "I hate how he puts the lights up outside" or "I hope he doesn't expect me to wrap all these presents" or "he wants to just buy everyone a snuggie." I laughed a lot at these texts because Brian does leave the shopping to me (thank God) and actually will pretty much do anything I ask him to do (and he's quite the little wrapping perfectionist I might add). But the decoration fights/arguments, I finally understood...I couldn't recall doing it in the past but for some reason, we did this year. Anywh...
